Irvine March 4th Events

October 7, 2010 has been designated as a national day of action to defend public education.  This day, the third such day since the September 24, 2009, will continue the struggle to raise awareness about the break down in quality of our public education system through systemic lack of funding, failure to implement  effective reform, and at the university level a pervasive shift away from public funding coupled with an increased reliance on private sector funds and student debt.

With the UC system, campus based coalitions are planning activities for October 7th.  The links on the right side menu may help you find information about planning and events on your campus.
