Writing UC: Uniting Faculty Across Best Practices Report

In July 2016, UC-AFT  hosted a conference, Writing UC - Uniting Faculty Across Best Practices, to determine best practices and promote cross-campus networking about writing program pedagogy, labor, and administration. Writing UC enabled, for the first time ever, 40 Writing lecturers from nine University of California campuses to engage in fruitful, face-to-face dialog about issues of both promise and concern across the system. Before the conference, a team of participants gathered and compiled the data about Writing on the campuses that appears below. This project began what we hope will be an ongoing forum for cross-campus engagement among Writing faculty at UC.
