Katie Astroguy, Continuing Lecturer, UC Davis Writing Program
Katie Arosteguy is a continuing lecturer in the University Writing Program at UC Davis who, after many years helping UC-AFT with grievances and representation work, decided to apply to law school. To help with financing, she applied for and won a Union Plus scholarship based on outstanding academic achievements, personal character, and commitment to organized labor's values. She is able to use the award for any expenses related to law school and it is helping her pursue her dream to become a labor attorney one day soon.
