UCSB Chapter

Members of the UCSB chapter and their students and supporters at a rally in 2021. Some hold pickets reading "End Unpaid Work Now!" and "UC-AFT Faculty Demand Job Security!". Some hold banners, one on the right reads "The UC Works Because We Do" with hundreds of member signatures. The one in the center reads "Faculty Equity- Student Success."

Welcome Gauchos! The UCSB chapter of UC-AFT represents around 350 lecturers, librarians, and supervisors of teacher education.

Our Chapter Collective which governs and organizes our union locally meets monthly. We’d love to see you at our next meeting!

We are a member-driven chapter, working to support one another to better understand our rights at work. Our union has negotiated specific policies for our various constituencies. Learn more about these policies below.
