UC-AFT- Member Outreach Days a Success

Two full days of member outreach on four campuses (UCLA, UCB, UCD, and UCSD) resulted in over four hundred quality, in-person conversations with UC-AFT represented lecturers.  150 lecturers chose to sign a membership form and become UC-AFT members! Organizers from AFT, CFT, and UC-AFT worked with members on each campus to reach out, talk with lecturers about the union contract, ask if they had received their raises, and invite them to join the union. This type of intensive outreach was a first for UC-AFT, but the hard work has paid off with many new relationships between members of our union.
