UC-AFT Statement of Support for Pac-12 Athletes' #WeAreUnited Campaign

University Council-American Federation of Teachers supports the student athletes who have organized the Pac-12 #WeAreUnited campaign. As the labor union representing contingent teaching faculty and librarians at all University of California campuses, including the Pac-12 league members Cal and UCLA, we #BackThePac in their demands for health and safety protections, university budget reform, racial justice, and economic freedom and equity. UC-AFT members are proud to teach and mentor student athletes and even prouder to stand with them as they fight for the universities they believe in.
